Four wooden foundry patterns depict the relationship when one causes the other. The two parts pinching at the center create the tension point, or cause, with the "effect" radiating outwards. The pagoda-like forms are a mystery to me; they're obviously patterns made for casting...something in metal. On the surface, they look like a weird heat sink, radiator, or motorcycle cylinder. But I doubt that's what they are. For me, the goal here was to create a handsome mid-century modern-style wall sculpture. Applying MCM motifs like bamboo and green grasscloth wallpaper bring the whole piece together. You can hang the sculpture vertically or horizontally.
