Two solid objects pass through each other in what looks like another dimension. I got the idea from a very long lost memory of me watching some old 1950s sci-fi flick of a scientist trying to do the same. This tabletop sculpture produces an interesting illusion based on the concept of quantum tunneling. Standing over 12" tall, the piece features a large turned wooden bolt morphing through a solid 2" thick slab of aluminum. I designed the sculpture to stand in the "X" format but it can also stand on the aluminum end if preferred.
