This impressive table sculpture showcases a collection of radio tower models from the Eastern Bloc. I think these were the kinds of things one would see on the desk of a high-level bureaucrat or industry chairman. Or maybe they were just souvenirs? Either way, these models are expertly machined out of steel, aluminum, and brass. The tallest is the Ostankino TV Tower (Moscow 1967), the next is the Fernsehturm TV Tower (Berlin 1969), and the shortest one is a fantasy piece (I believe). All three are mounted to a solid aluminum puck. Taken as a whole, the models exhibit wicked cool modernist design from a bygone era!
