Here's a floor light that definitely gives off some mid-century modern vibes (which was the intention), and would look right at home in one of Shag's Palm Springs prints. The translucent "CRYSTA-LITE" blue decorator panel was made by Manchester Products of Chatsworth, CA during the 1960s. Manchester has long been defunct, but NOS finds of their extensive line of plastic panels do happen from time to time. I was lucky enough to see this blue panel listed on eBay, so I pounced on it. The light features an all-walnut wood frame. The middle orange section is made from truck light lenses, and the illumination comes from an LED strip wrapped around a wooden dowel. I then covered the dowel with a frosted acrylic tube to diffuse the light. Standing just under 6 feet tall, feast your eyes on the "The Ginchy" !
Note: the pics are cutting off the top of the light, but it looks the same as the bottom.
Medium:
Walnut, Plastic, Steel
Dimensions:
67.5” tall x 16” wide x 16” deep
